Coach Nick Luckey joined the Tiger coaching staff in February 2024. He serves as the offensive line coach for Doane.

Luckey joined the Tigers after coaching at Belhaven University (Miss.) from 2020-24. With the Blazers, the offensive line led the way to three consecutive seasons averaging 250 yards or more and 29 touchdowns or more. In 2022 the team averaged a school-record 287.7 yards per game and in 2023 scored a school record 39 touchdowns.

He got his start in coaching at Mississippi College as a graduate assistant. He was a starting offensive lineman for the Choctaws in 2015-16 after transferring in from Copiah Lincoln CC (Miss.).
