Doane Men's Basketball was unable to overcome an early 11-0 run by Dordt (Iowa) on Saturday as the Tigers dropped a road contest, 85-55, in Sioux Center, Iowa.
With the Tigers within two points, 10-8, at the 15:17 mark of the first half, the Defenders went on their run over the next four minutes. They would add a 12-0 run late in the half as Dordt led 41-21 at the break.
Dordt shot 54.4-percent for the game and hit 12 3-point baskets while Doane was limited to 36.1-percent shooting from the floor with four 3-point baskets.
Brady Timm led the Tigers with 18 points and four assists. Alec Oberhauser finished with 12 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
Next up for the Tigers is a trip to Yankton, S.D., to take on Mount Marty. The Tigers and Lancers will tip off at 7:45 PM on Wednesday, February 15.
