Timm Named GPAC Player of the Week

Brady Timm has been named the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week, presented by Hauff Mid-America Sports, after his performance in two games last week for Doane. This marks the first time he has received the honor in his career.

Timm averaged 27.5 points per game on the week and shot 52.9-percent from the floor, and added 5.0 assists per game. In the Tigers win over Briar Cliff, he posted 41 points in a quadruple overtime victory against the Chargers.

Clutch situations is where Timm thrived in the BCU contest. He hit a 3-point basket to tie the game and force overtime as the Tigers rallied from a five-point deficit in the final 20 seconds. In the first overtime, he scored five points in the final 12 seconds to erase a four-point deficit and extend the game. In the third overtime, he scored with five seconds remaining to tie the game. An old-fashioned three-point play with 53 seconds left by Timm in the fourth overtime would give the Tigers a lead they would not relinquish.

Doane will take on Concordia in their next game. The Tigers travel to Seward for a 7:45 PM contest on Wednesday, January 10.
