Bio

Myron Parsley took over the Doane College head men’s golf coach position in November 2007. Parsley is a counselor at Doane and previously served as the Tiger’s golf coach from 1997-1999. In 1998, the Doane women qualified for the NAIA National Championship meet held in Tulsa, Oklahoma, under his guidance. He led the men's program to their first NAIA National Championship meet in Mesa, Arizona, in 2023.

Doane men’s golf has grown in numbers and in talent since Coach Parsley took over the program in 2007. The Tigers have finished in the top half of the conference meet since 2010-11 with runner-up finishes in 2020 and 2021. In 2023, the Tigers were able to claim the top spot at the conference meet, winning their first GPAC title. It was the first conference title since 1976.

He was named the GPAC Coach of the Year in 2023.

In the 2013-14 season, Coach Parsley took his first men's golfer to the NAIA National Championships. Jonas Christensen was the GPAC medalist representative, taking 2nd Place in the conference meet but finished as the top NAIA competitor (Nebraska Wesleyan was a NCAA D3 declared team).

Parsley competed collegiately and participated in both the NAIA and NCAA Division III Championships his senior year at Nebraska Wesleyan. He is a scratch player who competes regularly in the Nebraska State Amateur and several other amateur events.
