Men's Soccer made their second trip to Kansas on the week and came away with a similar outcome, picking up a shutout victory. The Tigers defeated McPherson, 3-0, on Saturday afternoon.
Doane received two early goals from Guillem Colom. In the 15', he received a throw-in from Grayson Meyer and fired a shot past the Bulldogs' goalkeeper for a 1-0 lead. A mere 100 seconds ran off the clock before Colom scored another goal. Cesar Gonzalez put a shot on-goal and the rebound found Colom's foot and he sent the ball back towards the goal for a two-score lead.
In the second half, Gonzalez found the net as he scored on a corner kick pass from Ruben Acosta. For the game, Doane held a 17-15 shot advantage with a 9-4 shots on-goal edge.
Samuel Montanez posted four saves in goal for his second straight shutout. McPherson's Mason Stephens finished with five saves.
The Tigers will return home to take on Union (Neb.) at 7 PM on September 5. The Tigers will be in search of program win No. 200 entering the game.
