Men's Soccer Finishes with Draw at Jamestown

Men's Soccer traveled to Jamestown, N.D., for a Sunday matchup against the Jimmies. After a scoreless first half, the Tigers jumped on the board with two goals only to have Jamestown answer late to post a 2-2 tie.

The first goal of the game came in the 56' following a Doane free kick. The ball was sent into the goal box and popped up in the air. As the ball came to the ground, Braden Lackey was able to drop a centering pass to Hugo Meneguite who shot the ball into the net. The Tigers added to their lead in the 66' as Guillem Colom took a long pass up the sideline and fired a crossing pass from the edge of the box to Cesar Gonzalez for a goal.

Jamestown rally started with a penalty kick goal in the 71' following a foul on the Tigers a step inside the goal box. In the 85', Jamestown had a free kick on the edge of the goal box and was able to fire a shot in for the tying goal.

Next up for the Tigers is a trip to Sioux City, Iowa, to take on Morningside at 5:30 PM on Wednesday, September 27.
