Men's Soccer Cruises Past Waldorf

Men's Soccer returned home for a Saturday evening match against Waldorf. The Tigers matched a feat last accomplished in 2017 as they scored six goals in a 6-0 win over the Warriors.

The first Doane goal came in the 9' as Fernado Moreno sent a pass through the Waldorf defensive line and connected with Ameer Madden, who finished off the play with a goal. Madden scored again in the 29' on an unassisted goal. Prior to the halftime break, Nicolas Jones scored an unassisted goal in the 42' of play.

In the second half, Luis Rejano Candau scored on a penalty kick in the 68'. He scored his second goal of the game off a pass from Madden in the 69'. Doane's final goal came from Yvan Nyame as he out-sprinted the Warriors to set up a shot attempt for the goal.

Samuel Montanez posted three saves in goal for the Tigers.

Doane will return to action on Saturday, October 5, in Sioux Center, Iowa, as they take on Dordt.
