Men's Track Squad Splits Between Lincoln and Seward

Men's Track and Field took part in two meets on Friday afternoon, splitting between the Prairie Wolf Invite in Lincoln and the Polar Dog Invite in Seward.

At the Prairie Wolf meet, Zach Turner posted a time of 7.95 in the 60m hurdles and placed second overall. He added a win in the 200m run with a time of 21.98.

JaDae Moore posted a time of 7.10 in the 60m dash to place 14th overall. In the 400m, Joaquin Gutierrez placed third with a time of 49.37.

In the field events, Vince Lauenroth placed fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 13.10m (42-11.75). Cameron Leeling hit a mark of 6.42m (21-00.75) in the long jump and placed seventh.

Over in Seward at the Polar Dog, Addison Croghan placed second in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.49 seconds. In the 60m dash, Carson Shoemaker placed 13th with a time of 7.24 seconds. Jackson Eurek led the Tigers in the 200m with a time of 24.30 to place 18th.

Dakota Miser posted a time of 52.63 in the 400m to place ninth. In the 600m, Eli Marez placed third with a time of 1:25.03. Emmanuel Yego won the 800m run with a time of 2:00.86.

In the 1000m, Duncan Blankenship placed fourth with a time of 2:39.12. Thomas Oliver took third in the mile run with a time of 4:20.34. Nelson Ruto placed second in the 5000m with a time of 15:32.21.

The 4x400m relay team of Miser, Marez, Zach Fox, and Yego placed third with a time of 3:30.85.

Carter Reckling won the high jump for the Tigers as he cleared a personal best height of 2.11m (6-11.00). He moved into third on the NAIA chart this season and into fifth on the all-time Doane indoor chart.

Croghan led the Tigers in the long jump with a mark of 6.06m (19-10.75) and placed 11th. In the pole vault, Mike Pulliam cleared 4.65m (15-03.00) to meet the NAIA "B" standard and placed second overall.

Andrew Schmitz took fourth in the shot put with a throw of 15.16m (49-09.00). Trey Dickey took second in the weight throw with a mark of 17.24m (56-06.75).

Doane will close out the month with another trip to Seward to participate in the Concordia Invite on January 27.
