Ryan Dorshorst graduated from Doane in May 2006 and has been the pole vaults coach since Fall ‘06. He was a two-time NAIA National qualifier while also triple jumping for the Tigers. Following the 2022 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, he was named the USTF NAIA Men's Assistant Coach of the Year. Entering the 2020 season, Dorshorst has coached 90 NAIA national qualifiers in the pole vault, leading to 16 All-Americans and two national champions. He also assists with the multi-events where Tiger athletes have earned 27 All-American honors and nine national championships during his tenure. He works in the IT department at Doane.
