
Men's Wrestling Shuts Out Northwestern
Men's Wrestling took part in the first GPAC Duals for the 2024-25 season on Tuesday afternoon in Seward. The Tigers started the day by taking on Northwestern (Iowa). Doane won all ten matches to post a 47-0 win, shutting out the Red Raiders for the second straight year.
Brian Peck started the action at 125 with his second pin in four victories this year, topping Nik Goves in 2:53. Matthew Terrence won by tech fall at 133 over Logan Schroeder, 18-0. Tristen Brown posted a 10-3 decision victory over Noah Parmelee. Kaihikapukalaimoku Cobb-Adams took the mat at 149 and won by decision, 7-5, over Devin Padilla.
Ben Miller picked up his fifth pin of the season as he defeated Cade Braun in 3:49 at 157. Edward Ramirez won at 165 by major decision, 16-4, over Timothy Hubers. Chase Stieb won by pin in 4:37 over Cole Rutter at 174. It was his second pin of the season.
At 184, Tyson Beauperthuy won by tech fall, 19-4, over Thomas Vance as he needed only 72 seconds to pick up the win. Kasten Grape won by decision, 4-1, at 197 over Kaleb Grove. Eli Criblez received a forfeit win at 285.
Doane will take on Briar Cliff in their second and final match of the GPAC Duals on Tuesday.
