Lendt Named GPAC Men's Wrestler of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following men's wrestler-of-the-week for contests between December 9-15, 2024. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2024-2025 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. 

Nate Lendt, Doane University – 149lb Weight Class

Doane University wrestler Nate Lendt is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Wrestler-of-the-Week.  Lendt, a senior from Des Moines, Iowa, brought momentum back on the Tigers' side in their dual with Concordia on Friday with his 15-0 tech fall win over NAIA No. 22 Steven Barnes. Lendt took the mat after the Bulldogs won their first match of the night and made quick work of his nationally ranked opponent, winning in 2:25. The Tigers would go on to win the rest of the matches as they posted a 46-3 win, their most team points ever against Concordia.
