Softball traveled to Fremont on Wednesday afternoon to take on No. 22 Midland. The Warriors jumped out early in the opening game and posted an 8-1 win over the Tigers.
Midland scored five runs in the first inning and three in the second inning. Doane scored their run in the fifth inning on a sacrifice fly by Bri True to drive in Milannie Gonzalez.
Faith McDonald threw a complete game for the Tigers, going 6.0 innings and allowing eight runs on 14 hits and four walks while striking out three.
Doane finished with four hits in the game. Anna Prauner and Marisa Marquez had a double while Gonzalez and Jasmine Villegas had singles in the game.
