Coach Sam Valadez-Haralabidis joined the Tiger coaching staff in August 2023 as Associate Head Coach.

Valadez-Haralabidis is a familiar face for Tiger fans, having played at Doane from 2014-17 while earning First Team All-Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) honors three times. She was primarily a third baseman for the Tigers, helping the team to a pair of NAIA National Tournament appearances and a conference championship. During her career, she hit .373 with a .546 slugging percentage and a .446 on-base percentage, all ranking in Doane's Top 10 career marks.

Following her time at Doane, Valadez-Haralabidis took an assistant coaching position at Chadron State (Neb.). She joined Triple Crown Fastpitch as a recruiter for NAIA, NCAA, and CCCAA following a year at Chadron. At the same time, she took a graduate assistant position at Waldorf (Iowa) in 2018 and would coach with the Warriors for three seasons. Valadez-Haralabidis earned a Master's Degree in Sports Management from Waldorf. 

In 2021, she joined Next College Student Athlete (NCSA) as a softball recruiting coach. She also served as an assistant coach at Chaffey College (Calif.) where the team won the conference title in 2022.
