Women's Basketball was at home on Wednesday evening to take on Midland in conference play. The Tigers forced the Warriors into 23 turnovers as they pulled away with an 83-61 victory.
Mak Hatcliff paced the Tigers with 30 points on the evening on 10-of-18 shooting. Maddie Portwine picked up 20 points on 7-of-16 shooting with Macy Holtz finishing with 11 points. Portwine and Hatcliff had six rebounds apiece to lead the Tigers while Libby Trausch dished out a team-high four assists. Hatcliff posted five steals and two blocked shots.
Doane shot 45-percent (31-of-69) from the floor and 26-percent (5-of-19) from behind the arc. They were 16-of-23 at the free throw line for 70-percent. Midland shot 40-percent (21-of-53) for the game and 40-percent (8-of-20) from 3-point range. They were 11-of-17 from the charity stripe for 65-percent.
Jenna Weber led the Warriors with 18 points and Leah Redding added 10 points. Weber had a game-high nine rebounds.
The Tigers will be at home on Saturday, February 15, when they host No. 1 Dordt at 2 PM.
