
Women's Golf Wins Concordia Invite
Women's Golf competed in the Concordia Invite on Tuesday and Wednesday in Lincoln at Highlands GC. The Tigers posted rounds of 319-316 to post a 36-hole score of 635 to win the tournament. The victory was the second of the season for Doane.
Kaitlyn Dumler tied for the low 36-hole score with a 156 (80-76). She took second place based on a playoff. Connie Jarm tied for third with a 157 (76-81). Laila Saunders tied for fifth with a 159 (79-80). Tia Phaisan tied for 14th with a 163 (84-79). Sydney Streeter tied for 46th with a 178 (89-89).
The Tiger "B" team defeated three varsity squads and placed 10th with a 702 (356-346). Avery Van Horn led the squad by tying for 26th with a 170 (89-81). Payton Morgan tied for 39th with a 175 (89-86). Jamisyn Kirkpatrick shot a 177 (88-89) to tie for 44th. Maddie Nielsen tied for 54th with a 183 (90-93). Jessy Merrell finished in a tie for 56th after shooting a 184 (94-90).
Next up for the Tigers will be the Kaitlyn Erickson-Doane Invite on April 14-15 in Lincoln. The first round will be held at Wilderness Ridge GC with the second round at Pioneers GC.
