Women's Track and Field Starts 2025 with Nisely Memorial Classic

Women's Track and Field began the 2025 indoor slate on Saturday morning by hosting the Scott Nisely Memorial Classic in Crete. The Tigers posted three NAIA automatic qualifying marks while meeting the provisionally qualifying standard four times.

On the track, RaeAnn Thompson led the Tigers in the 60m dash with a time of 7.85 in the finals to place second. Thompson won the 200m dash with a time of 26.69. In the 400m dash, Katie Vogt won with a time of 59.52. 

Danie Parriott won the 600m with a time of 1:40.30. Calla Wittland posted a win in the 1000m with a time of 3:21.05. Mackenzy Lippold took second in the 3000m run with a time of 11:48.27.

Josie Garrett won the 60m hurdles with an NAIA provisional qualifying mark. She ran a time of 8.83 seconds, currently the eighth-fastest time in the NAIA. The 4x400m relay team of Parriott, Vogt, Chaney Nelson, and Kiley Hejtmanek won with a time of 4:06.81.

Madison Sutton posted a pair of national qualifying marks in the field events. She won the weight throw with a mark of 17.97m (58-11.50) and moved into third place in the NAIA on the early season chart. She added a win in the shot put with a mark of 14.41m (47-03.50), also ranking third in the NAIA this season. Alivia Baucom met the NAIA provisional qualifying standard with a throw of 13.99m (45-10.75), ranking fourth in the NAIA this year.

Garrett had the top Tiger finish in the high jump, placing second with a clearance of 1.60m (5-03.00). She won the triple jump with a mark of 11.60m (38-00.75), meeting the NAIA provisional standard and moving into sixth in the NAIA. Rosalyn Roggasch won the long jump with a mark of 5.35m (17-06.75).

Kaylee Pribyl met the NAIA automatic qualifying mark for the second time this season as she won the pole vault with a mark of 3.70m (12-01.50). Kennedy Stanley placed second with a mark of 3.60m (11-09.75), meeting the provisional standard and moving into 10th in the NAIA this year.

The Tigers will be back in action on Friday, January 17, at the Polar Dog Classic in Seward.
