Women's Track and Field Lands Big Marks at Home Meet

Women's Track and Field hosted the Fred Beile Classic on Saturday in Crete. Tiger athletes combined for five automatic national qualifying marks and six provisional marks.

On the track, Neryah Hekl won the 60m dash in a time of 7.68. RaeAnne Thompson won the 200m in a time of 26.32. Kiley Hejtmanek took sixth in the 400m with a time of 1:01.36. 

Danie Parriott won the 600m in a time of 1;36.28 while Katie Vogt took second with a time of 1:37.14. Parriott and Vogt both met the NAIA provisional qualifying standard with their times. Marissa Miles placed fifth in the 800m with a time of 2:36.35. Maddy Ramey finished in fifth in the 1000m with a time of 3:19.19 and Laura Hasemann was third in the mile run in a time of 5:38.08.

Calla Wittland won the 3000m with a time of 11:16.89. Josie Garrett won the 60m hurdles with a provisional qualifying time of 8.83. The 4x400m relay team of Mackenzie Spencer, Allison Ernst, Ramey, and Alison Bradford took second place with a time of 4:45.42.

In the field events, Katelyn Kratz qualified for the national meet with a clearance of 1.68m (5-06.00) in the high jump. Kennedy Stanley joined Kaylee Pribly as a national qualifier in the pole vault. Pribyl won the event based on attempts over Stanley as both cleared 3.70m (12-01.50).

Rosalyn Roggasch took second in the long jump with a mark of 5.39m (17-08.25). Kyla Davis won the triple jump with a mark of 11.53m (37-10.00) to meet the provisional qualifying standard. Roggasch also met the provisional standard as she had a mark of 11.51m (37-09.25).

Alivia Baucom hit a throw of 14.60m (47-11.00) in the shot put to improve on her national standing, as she moved up to third in the NAIA. Madison Heusinkvelt placed fourth with a throw of 13.60m (44-07.50) to meet the provisional standard. Madison Sutton took second in the weight throw as she improved on her mark this year. Her throw of 18.34m (60-02.00) sits fourth in the NAIA. Dayle Haake placed fourth in the pentathlon with 2,710 points.

Doane will be at the Concordia Invite on Friday, February 7. Field events begin at noon.
