Volleyball started day two of the GoSarpy.com Bellevue Classic on Saturday with a late morning battle against Avila (Mo.). Each set would be decided by two points as the Tigers (2-4) took the match in a straight set victory. Game scores were 25-23, 25-23, and 27-25.
Kayden Schumacher led the Tigers on the day with 11 kills and seven ace serves. She added six digs as well. Hilary Hupp added eight kills and a .700 attack percentage for the Tigers.
Chloe Rose dished out 18 assists with Camdyn Carpenter adding 12 assists and seven digs. Grace Zeier led the team with 11 digs and added three ace serves. Kate Roseland picked up 4.0 total blocks.
Doane finished the match with 38 kills and a .231 attack percentage to go with 11 ace serves and 5.0 team blocks.
The Tigers will take on (RV) McPherson (Kan.) today at 4:30 PM.
