Volleyball took on Trinity College (Fla.) on Saturday morning in Florida and posted a straight set victory. Set scores were 25-14, 25-10, and 25-16. The Tigers of Doane out-hit the opposing Tigers of Trinity, posting 41 kills to 18.
Kayden Schumacher led the team with 12 kills. Sophia Turek added seven kills and three ace serves. Camydn Carpenter dished out 19 assists with Chloe Rose adding 16 assists to go with four ace serves.
Defensively, Grace Zeier collected 19 of the team's 50 digs. The Tigers recorded three solo blocks in the match, one apiece from Turek, Hilary Hupp, and Taylor Sluka.
Doane will face Warner (Fla.) to close out the tournament in the Sunshine State.
