Volleyball returned home for a weekend series in conference play, starting with Waldorf on Friday evening. The Tigers, behind a boisterous crowd, picked up a 3-1 win over the Warriors. Game scores were 25-22, 14-25, 25-23, and 25-19.
The Tigers featured a balanced attack with four players in double figures for kills. Kayden Schumacher led the way with 14 kills. Kate Roseland posted 13 kills while Natalie Wood added 11 and Taylor Sluka finished with 10. Camdyn Carpenter dished out 43 assists and picked up 21 digs. Mariah Sliva picked up three ace serves.
Defensively, Grace Zeier led the team with 25 digs. Following Carpenter's 21, Lillian Parolek and Schumacher added 11 digs and Chloe Rose finished with 10. Doane had 6.0 team blocks, led by Hilary Hupp with four total blocks.
Doane will host Dakota Wesleyan on Saturday at 3 PM in Crete.
