Volleyball went on the road to Sioux City, Iowa, on Saturday to take on Morningside. The Mustangs are receiving votes in the latest national poll and defended their home court by topping the Tigers in straight sets. Game scores were 25-19, 25-18, and 25-13, ending Doane's three-match win-streak.
Kayden Schumacher and Kate Roseland led the team with eight kills apiece. Natalie Wood picked up seven kills. Camdyn Carpenter finished with 17 assists for the match as the Tigers posted 25 kills with 24 attack errors for a 0.008 attack percentage.
Grace Zeier finished with 15 digs and Carpenter picked up 10 digs. Doane had 3.0 team blocks with Hilary Hupp in on all three blocks.
Doane will return back to Crete for a 7:30 PM match against Hastings on Wednesday, October 23.
