Women's Cross Country Takes Eighth in Blazing Tiger NAIA Classic

Women's Cross Country put together a strong all-around performance on Saturday in the inaugural Blazing Tiger NAIA Classic held at Mahoney State Park by Ashland. The Tigers finished in eighth place and topped four teams that were receiving votes in the latest NAIA national poll. The only teams to defeat the Tigers are all ranked in the NAIA Top 25. College of Idaho was the team champion.

Jaden Hilkemann led the Tigers with a time of 23:31 to place 57th overall. Calla Wittland finished 64th with a time of 23:39 and Danie Parriott was 78th with a time of 24:06. Annika Pingel placed 88th with a time of 24:19 and Grace Colbert rounded out the Top 5 with a time of 24:34 to place 98th.

The Tigers will return in two weeks, November 4, when they compete at the GPAC Championships in North Sioux City, S.D., at the Adams Nature Preserve.
