
Women's Cross Country Picked Third in GPAC Preseason Poll
The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) released the 2024 Women's Cross Country Coaches' Preseason Poll on Tuesday. Defending conference champion, Dordt, was tabbed in the top spot with 118 points and nine first place votes.
Doane was picked in a tie for third with 86 points, joined by Hastings. The Tigers, under the direction of Brad Jenny, placed fourth last year in a tight conference race.
Among the returners for the team is NAIA national qualifier Calla Wittland. Danie Parriott and Grace Colbert were in the team's Top 5 finishers at the conference meet as the team returns eight of 10 runners who competed at the conference meet.
The season opens for the Tigers on September 6 at the Augustana Twilight in Sioux Falls, S.D.
