Parriott Breaks Record for Women's Cross Country

Women's Cross Country competed in the Dordt Holiday Inn Express Classic on Saturday morning in Sioux Center, Iowa. The Tigers finished third overall behind No. 8 Dordt and Benedictine, receiving votes in the latest poll. Doane finished ahead of Concordia, who is also receiving votes in the poll.

Pacing the team with a third place finish and school record 6K time was Danie Parriott. She finished in 22:22.7. Mackenzy Lippold finished 23rd overall with a time of 23:26.7 and Calla Wittland took 35th with a time of 23:44.7. Grace Colbert posted a time of 23:50.3 to take 40th and Laura Hasemann was 49th overall to round out the team's top five with a time of 24:05.9.

Next up for the Tigers will be the Blazing Tiger NAIA Classic on October 26 at Mahoney State Park in Ashland, Neb. Doane is the co-host with Saint Mary (Neb.) and is a chance for GPAC schools to run the conference championship course for this year.
