Bio

Coach Elliott Engle joined the coaching staff in Fall 2015.

A former pitcher for the Tigers (2011-14), he has shared those experiences with the Doane pitching staff. He has coached several all-conference pitchers, including the 2022 GPAC Pitcher-of-the-Year.

Engle, a Lincoln native, earned NAIA All-American honors his senior year after posting a 9-2 record with a 0.55 earned run average. The Lincoln Journal Star named him the State College Male Athlete of the Year. He finished his career tied for the all-time lead in wins with teammate Nathan Roth. In his freshman campaign with the Tigers, his varsity debut was a memorable one as he started the championship game of the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) tournament. He pitched the Tigers to victory, sending Doane to the first-ever NAIA National Tournament appearance. He would participate in the NAIA National Tournament during three of his four years.

Elliott and his wife, Savannah, live in Hickman.
