Men's Soccer battled to a 1-1 draw on Wednesday evening in Crete as the Tigers played host to Midland. Doane picked up a late goal to earn a key point in the conference standings as the Tigers are currently tied for eighth place with three games remaining.
After a scoreless opening half in which both teams had three shot attempts, the Warriors would strike first in the 69' of play. Jovica Lazarevic was left open on a crossed ball by Diego Saenz and sent the ball into the net for the lead.
Doane continued to battle and in the 85', Cesar Gonzalez found just enough of an angle in the goal box to fire a shot past the Warriors' keeper to tie the game. Guillem Colom collected the assist for the Tigers.
Shot attempts were 12-9 in Doane's favor with shots on-goal standing at 6-4 for the Tigers.
Next up will be a road trip to Sioux Center, Iowa, as Doane takes on Dordt at 2 PM on October 21.
