Men's Soccer Ends Season on High Note

Men's Soccer closed out their season on Wednesday evening in Crete as they hosted Mount Marty on Senior Night. The Tigers jumped out early to the lead, trailed at halftime, and scored three goals in the second half and posted a 4-2 win over the Lancers.

Hugo Santos scored the first goal of the game for Doane in the 4' of play. The Lancers answered back with a goal in the 7' by Aden Taylor and a goal in the 15' from Zachary Hebda to take a 2-1 lead.

In the second half, Ameer Madden picked up the equalizer for the Tigers with a goal in the 48' as he cut through the Lancer defense. Yvan Nyame picked up the go-ahead and eventual game-winning goal in the 71'. Madden gave Doane a little insurance in the 87' with his second goal of the game.

Mount Marty finished with a 17-16 shot advantage in the game, including 9-7 in shots on-goal. Samuel Montanez picked up seven saves in goal for the Tigers.

Doane ends the season with a 5-9-2 overall record and 3-7 mark in GPAC play, finishing ninth in the conference. The Tigers finished 5-2-1 in home games this year.
