Tennis Academic All-District Honors Announced

The 2024-25 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District teams have been announced for the Tennis division. Doane placed three on this year's women's list and two on the men's list.

Recognized for their accomplishments in competition and in the classroom are Maria Purizaca, Isabella Castillero, and Kat Johnson for the women with Andre Hartman and Elliot Dassel receiving men's honors. All recipients of the honor hold a cumulative grade point average above a 3.50.

Purizaca went 19-1 in duals this year, earning GPAC Player of the Year honors. She was an all-conference honoree for both singles and doubles play.

Castillero went 7-12 on the year in singles play, including a 7-9 record at No. 4 singles. She received All-GPAC honors in doubles play this year.

Johnson was 13-3 in single play this year. She received all-conference honors for singles and doubles play, teaming with Castillero for the No. 3 doubles honor.

Hartman went 9-10 this season in singles play while Dassel was 5-14 on the year. The both received all-conference honors in singles and doubles play, teaming up at No. 2 doubles.
