Beauperthuy, Vote Headline All-GPAC Wrestling Honors
Men's Wrestling received several honors on Wednesday from the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). The 2025 all-conference teams were announced as well as the yearly honors, with Doane picking up a program record 10 selections. Dana Vote was named the GPAC Coach of the Year after guiding the Tigers to the regular season and postseason championships. This marks the third time Vote has received the honor as the Tigers' coach.
Tyson Beauperthuy was named the GPAC Men's Wrestler of the Year. Beauperthuy, the conference champion at 184, is 29-0 on the season. He is the third Tiger wrestler to claim the award under Vote's leadership, joining teammate Bradley Antesberger (2024) and Baagii Boldmaa (2021-22-23), and extends the streak to five consecutive years the award has gone to a Doane wrestler.
Beauperthuy was one of seven wrestlers to be named First Team All-GPAC. Hunter Bennett won the 125 bracket at last weekend's GPAC Championships and is 17-6 on the season. Matthew Terrence won at 133 and is 31-7 on the year. Nate Lendt improved to 17-2 on the year after winning the 149 bracket. Ben Miller claimed the 157 bracket and is 26-5 overall. Antesberger won the 197 bracket and holds a 23-1 record while Kasten Grape took runner-up at 197 and is 27-3 on the year.
Three wrestlers were named Second Team All-GPAC. Brian Peck took runner-up at 125 and is 16-8 on the year. Devin Avedissian was runner-up at 141 and holds a 12-3 record. Benjamin Dobler finished the year with a 17-7 record after taking runner-up at 174.
Doane will compete at the NAIA National Championships on March 6-8 in Park City, Kansas.
