Bio

Coach Brad Jenny took over the Tiger cross country program in 2002 after serving as an assistant the previous three years.

The Tiger men's and women's program have recorded 10 NAIA All-American honors and 115 NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors under his guidance. Jenny's squads have also collected 28 NAIA Scholar Team honors (varsity team grade point average of 3.0) through the 2023-24 academic year. In 2006, he was named the GPAC Men’s Coach-of-the-Year after leading the Tigers to a runner-up finish at the conference championship meet.

During his time, the men's program has qualified for NAIA nationals as a team on seven occasions while the women have qualified three times. In conference action, the men have posted 38 All-GPAC performances (Top 15) while the women have 19 All-GPAC performances.

Under Jenny’s guidance, Edwin Ronoh became the first male individual champion for Doane in the conference meet since 1987 when he claimed victory in 2011. Ronoh’s efforts earned him the men’s GPAC Runner-of-the-Year honor. In 2015 and 2016, Marissa DeWispelare won back-to-back women's conference championships, earning GPAC Runner-of-the-Year honors both seasons. She was a two-time All-American on the cross country course. In 2019, Alec Wick was the GPAC Men's Runner-of-the-Year after winning the conference meet and the following year, 2020, Shawn Kiptoo gave the men back-to-back winners of the GPAC meet.

A 1994 Doane graduate, Jenny serves as the long distance coach for the track and field team in addition to his cross country duties.

He is married to Jennifer (Einspahr) Jenny, 1999 Doane graduate, and they reside in Crete with their sons, Miles and Pacen.
