Women's Soccer played host to Waldorf on Saturday evening. The Tigers scored early and often on their way to an 8-0 victory. It was the most goals for Doane since 2017.
McKenna Rathbun scored the first two goals of the game. She scored on a free kick in the 3' of play before adding a header off a corner kick in the 4'. Celeste Galvan assisted on the second goal. Gisselle Martinez scored in the 15' following a clearout attempt by the Warriors.
Galvan gave the Tigers a 4-0 lead in the 19' as Hayle Brodine sent in a corner kick and Payton Cooley redirected the ball to Galvan for the goal. Rathbun capped the first half scoring with her third goal of the game in the 24' of action.
Rathbun picked up an assist in the 58' as she set up Madalynn Dyke for her first collegiate goal. Galvan added her second goal of the game in the 82' as she split the Warrior defense to set up her goal scoring opportunity. The final Doane goal came from Brodine as she scored off a pass from Malaz Suliman in the 87'.
Grayce Southern finished with the shutout win in goal, picking up one save.
Doane returns to action on Saturday, October 5, at Dordt in Sioux Center, Iowa.
