
Women's Tennis Shuts out Nebraska Wesleyan
Women's Tennis faced Nebraska Wesleyan on Thursday in Lincoln for a non-conference meeting. The Tigers led from start to finish as they shutout the Prairie Wolves, 7-0.
In doubles play, Maria Purizaca and Mariana Espinosa won 6-1 at No. 1 while Liz Calderon and Grace Schroller won at No. 2, 7-5. In the No. 3 doubles match, Isabella Castillero and Kat Johnson won 6-2.
In singles play, Purizaca won at No. 1 over Anna Burt, 6-1, 6-3. Espinosa defeated Crystal Craft at No. 2, 6-2, 6-4. Calderon was a 6-3, 6-2, winner at No. 3 over Ella Ford. Castillero won at No. 4 in a tie-break, 1-6, 6-1, 10-3, over Parker Brown. Schroller posted a 6-2, 6-1, win over Caitlin Hudson at No. 5 singles. Johnson won 6-3, 6-0, at No. 6 over Gracey Smith.
